Brkovic, Slobodan

July 5, 1939 – January 23, 2022

It is with broken hearts that we announce that Slobodan “Sam” Brkovic passed away on the morning of January 23, 2022. Beloved husband of 50 years to Novka (nee Ninkovic). Cherished Tata of Bozidar (Lisa) and Tanja. Brat of the late Ugljesa (2016), the late Cedo (2020) and Nada Vukasenovic. Cherished Stric to Gordana, Veljko, Jackie and Jennifer and Tetak to Tiho, late Nino and Adriana. Beloved and proud Deda to Maksim and Braden. Slobodan was born in the Village of Necvijecu (near Trebinje) Yugoslavia (modern day Bosnia and Herzogovina) on July 5, 1939 to Mitrana (Kujacic) and Bozidar “Veljko” Brkovic. He will be greatly missed by his Kumovi and friends in Toronto and Windsor, as well as his many neighbours. Slobodan moved to Canada in 1969 and became a proud Canadian Citizen in 1975. A machine repairist by trade, Slobodan began his career in Canada working at a small tool company in Windsor. He was the co-owner of a business, machining components for local tool shops before transitioning to Ford Motor Company in 1976. His favourite pastime was gardening and providing fresh produce to family, friends, and neighbours. Slobodan was a dedicated father who took great pride in his children’s successes; however, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons, and he especially enjoyed attending their travel hockey games as their number one fan. Ajdinovic, Stojan “Steve”

December 16, 1938 – January 29, 2022

Passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Beloved husband of Nada (nee Ljubicic) for 53 years. Predeceased by his parents Milos and Ana. Loving father of Ana Ajdinovic and Aleksandar (Raviojla). Cherished Deda of Radmila and Aleksandra Ajdinovic and Stefan and Sofia Poupin. Dear brother in-law of Mira Daucuo (Matija), Zorka Utjesinovic (Mile), Dusanka Stankovic (the late Milan), Bosiljka Brkovic (Milan), Budimirka Tomanovic (Doko), Ljubomirka Ivosevic (Slobodan), Radojka Stanojcic (Milan) and Jovanka Zic. Steve will be dearly missed by many friends and family in Canada, USA, Australia and Serbia. Steve retired from Chrysler after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Dobrich, Mirko

November 17, 1943 – February 09, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mirko Dobrich, on February 9, 2022 at the age of 78. Loving husband of 54 years to Vera (nee Parojcich). Devoted father to Tomislav (Milanka) and Momcilo (Martina). Proud Deda to Nikolina, Marko, Milan and Sanja. Predeceased by his parents Milos and Djurdjija. Survived by his sister Milica Andic and his twin brother Momcilo. Predeceased by his siblings Ilinka Dobric, Stevo Dobric, Andja Dobric. Mara Backo, Nikola Dobric and Simo Dobric. Mirko will be missed by many nieces, nephews, kumovi and friends in Hamilton, USA and Serbia. Mirko retired from Stelwire after more than 32 years of dedicated service. He was full of kindness and love, never missed the opportunity to have a good conversation or watch an exciting soccer game. Thank you to Father Vladimir Vranic for his spiritual support and heartfelt gratitude, to the nurses of Metropolitan Hospital 4th floor, as well as the 3rd floor at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare Y-Emara Building for your care and compassion. A private family service was held on Monday, February 14, 2022 with interment at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Skular, Milenko

It is with broken hearts we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, and grandfather on February 12, 2022, at 74 years of age. Loving husband for 50 years of marriage and best friend of Marica (nee Krajnovic). Dear father of Tatjana Jovanovic (Nedo) and Natasha Tortola (Mike). Adoring deda of Aleksandar, Maja, Elena and Luca. Predeceased by his parents Branko and Milica Skular. Brother of Lela Knezevic (the late Nikola) and the late Dusanka Skular. Brother-in-law of Marko and Stevo Krajnovic (Ruza), Milica Sijakovic (Slavko). Special uncle of Donna and Nikola Krajnovic, Goran and Zoran Sijakovic, Branislav and Drazen Knezevic. Milenko helped his family escape war and brought them to Canada to provide a better life. He lived for his family it was the most important thing in his life and caring for his grandchildren. He always reminded his family to be grateful for what you have and encouraged them to pursue education. He enjoyed roasting pigs for his family and friends and tending to his bees in Croatia. Milenko retired from Reko Tool & Die. When Milenko was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s it was devastating to bear witness to a man full of broad knowledge change over time. He was lovingly cared for at home by his devoted wife Marica. With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Radomir at home on Friday, March 4th, 2022 at the age of 67 surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Radmila (Ostojic). Loving father of Biljana (Dario) and Marko (Maya). Cherished grandpa of Ema, Sergej, Andrea, Luka and Dorotea. Predeceased by his parents Zivojin and Desanka.
Sadly missed by nieces, nephews, kumovi and friends around the world. Radomir worked as an electrician for many years. As a hobby, Radomir enjoyed creating delicious meals for his family and friends, he showed his love and appreciation through his gourmet specialties. July 7, 1966 – March 9, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear son and brother. Beloved son of Jela and late Borivoj. Temerinski, Radivoj

November 6, 1928 – March 25, 2022

Passed away with his daughter, granddaughter and grandson at his side on March 25, 2022 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Rosa (2009), his daughter Nada Temerinski Kroslak (1982) and his parents Ivan and Draginja Temerinski. Beloved father to Ilinka Temerinski and son in law Zoran Rankovic. Cherished Deda to George Radivoj Kroslak (Rachel Patterson) and Nada Emilija Temerinski (Alexander Nicol). Friendly neighbor to Barbara and Archie Quenneville. Rudy was an avid lover of the outdoors, who loved to fish at the Leamington Dock and in North Miami Beach, Florida. He was a hard worker that would do anything for his family and friends. He was a member of Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Church and St. Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church in North Miami Beach, Florida. A special thank you to Franklin Gardens for their kindness and care of Deda. Rudy passed away on Franklin Rd. where he had resided for more than 50 years. A visitation will take place at Anderson Funeral Home (895 Ouellette Ave, Windsor) on Monday March 28, 2022 from 4-8 pm. Marinkovic, Malina (nee Tadic)

December 25, 1935 – April 14, 2022

Passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022, at 86 years of age. Beloved wife of late Luka (1989). Loving mother of Ljiljana (Slavko) Sikman and Biljana Marinkovic. Proud grandmother of Snezana (Daniele) Ritorto, and Vladimir (Patrycja) Sikman. Adored stara-baba (great-grandmother) of Stefan and Emilija. Predeceased by her parents Milovan and Janja Tadic, and siblings Nedjo, Petar, Tadija, Jovanka, Milka, Jefa, and Desa. Malina will be greatly missed by family and friends in Bosnia, Serbia, and Canada. Malina was born in Cetojevici, former Yugoslavia. She joined her family in Canada in 2006. Malina enjoyed reading, knitting, and taking walks. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Draca, Milena (Mira)(nee Dobric)

March 29, 1953 – May 15, 2022

Passed away on May 15th, 2022 at the age of 69 with her husband and sons by her side. Loving wife of Mile with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Devoted mother to Predrag (Julie Pangburn) and Sinisa (Carmen). Proud baba to Arianna and Gabriella. She will be greatly missed by her brother Spiro (Jovanka) Dobric and family. Mira was born in former Yugoslavia, village of Dobropoljci and came to Canada 25 years ago. She worked as a cook at the Hellenic Banquet Hall and University of Windsor. Mira was always cooking and caring for her family and friends. She was most happy spending time with her family especially with her granddaughters who were dear to her heart. Mira was a wonderful gardener with a green thumb and always made sure she grew enough for her family, friends and neighbours.
